My commitment to public service began soon after college when I joined the U.S. Army. I proudly served our country for 20 years, both on active duty and in the Reserves, before retiring. During that time, I deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and participated in training missions around the world, learning the importance of leadership, accountability, and putting people before politics.
After returning home, I built several businesses in the financial services industry and served on multiple nonprofit boards, continuing my commitment to serving others. Working with families, small businesses, veterans, and seniors has given me a firsthand understanding of the challenges our communities face and the importance of making practical, responsible decisions.
Today, I’m proud to call Cape Cod home. Like so many who live here year-round, I want to preserve what makes our region special while ensuring it remains a safe, affordable, and thriving place to live, work, and build a future. That’s why I’m running for Barnstable County Commissioner.
I’m the Common Sense Candidate because I believe government should focus on the basics: protecting taxpayers, supporting our local communities, preserving our quality of life, and delivering the regional services our towns need without creating new taxes or unnecessary bureaucracy. I’m ready to bring practical leadership, fiscal responsibility, and a fresh perspective to county government so Cape Cod remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family for generations to come.

Cape Cod's housing challenges are real, but simply creating new taxes isn't the answer. I oppose a county-wide property tax and increasing the real estate transfer tax because those proposals would make it even more expensive to own, buy, or sell a home. They would place an unfair burden on seniors living on fixed incomes, veterans, working families, and first-time homebuyers—without addressing the root causes of our housing shortage.
As County Commissioner, I'll focus on common-sense solutions that increase housing opportunities without raising taxes. That means partnering with our towns, the state, developers, employers, and nonprofit organizations to encourage attainable workforce housing, modernize local zoning where appropriate, and remove unnecessary barriers to responsible development while preserving the unique character of Cape Cod.
We need policies that help the people who live and work here not taxes that drive up the cost of housing. By promoting local control, fiscal responsibility, and practical solutions, we can expand housing opportunities, strengthen our workforce, and keep Cape Cod an affordable place for seniors, veterans, young families, and future generations.

Cape Cod's future depends on a strong, year-round economy that supports our local businesses while preserving the character that makes our region special. We don't have to choose between economic growth and protecting Cape Cod's charm we can achieve both with common-sense planning.
As County Commissioner, I'll champion an economic development incentive plan that encourages investment in our village centers and downtowns, helping create vibrant communities where residents and visitors can shop, dine, and support local businesses. By working with our towns and the private sector, we can attract new investment, strengthen our small business community, and create good-paying jobs without sacrificing the unique identity of our Cape Cod villages.
Economic development isn't about overdevelopment it's about smart growth. By revitalizing our local business districts, supporting entrepreneurs, improving infrastructure, and encouraging responsible redevelopment, we can build a thriving economy that keeps Cape Cod affordable, creates opportunities for future generations, and preserves the coastal charm and quality of life that make the Cape unlike anywhere else.

As a combat veteran who served our country for 20 years, I understand that our commitment to those who served doesn't end when they return home. We also have a responsibility to help those in our communities who are struggling with homelessness, addiction, and mental health challenges.
My approach is rooted in common sense not creating new county programs or raising taxes, but better coordinating the state, federal, nonprofit, and regional resources that already exist. Barnstable County can play an important role by bringing organizations together, eliminating duplication, and ensuring veterans and our most vulnerable residents are connected to the services they need.
I will work to strengthen partnerships with veterans' organizations, housing providers, healthcare professionals, recovery programs, and local communities to improve access to housing, treatment, job training, and supportive services. By working together, we can provide real pathways to recovery and stability while being responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars.
Taking care of our veterans and helping those facing homelessness or addiction isn't just good public policy it's the right thing to do. With common-sense leadership and strong regional partnerships, we can ensure that no one is left behind while preserving the quality of life that makes Cape Cod a great place to call home.

Taxpayers deserve a county government that is transparent, accountable, and responsible with every dollar it spends. Today, there is a lack of accountability over how county funds are allocated and measured, and the people of Barnstable County deserve better. Government should be able to clearly explain where taxpayer dollars are going, what results they are producing, and whether those investments are delivering value.
As County Commissioner, I will fight for greater transparency, stronger financial oversight, and measurable performance standards for county programs. Every department should have clear goals, regular reporting, and accountability to the taxpayers who fund it. We need to eliminate waste, reduce duplication, and ensure county resources are focused on services that provide real benefits to our communities.
Fiscal responsibility isn't about spending less it's about spending smarter. I will work to ensure county government lives within its means, prioritizes essential regional services, and respects taxpayers by making every dollar count. Through common-sense leadership, transparent budgeting, and accountable decision-making, we can restore trust in county government and deliver better results for the people of Cape Cod.
